Phnom Penh: The Supreme Court yesterday upheld a verdict not to hand over the headquarters that the Candlelight Party rented to the former CNRP. The Candlelight Party said that the location rented by the CNRP in Chak Angre Leu Sangkat, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh was involved in the crime Complicated crimes.

According to the records of the Supreme Court, this case involves the names of 10 defendants, namely: Chuon Sophal Ty 2-Name Ngoc Sam Oun 3-Name Thorn Bunthoeun 4-Name Hok Sam Ang 5-Name Srong Lay 6-Name Bun Kim Ear 7-Name Chanda 8 – Suor Dara 9 – Sidara and Tim Samet – They have a lawyer named Sam Sokong. Teav Vannul, president of the Candlelight Party, the plaintiff, represented by lawyer Sam Sokong, claimed the leased office. The CNRP took control.

The lawsuit comes after the CNRP was dissolved and 10 security guards were detained. Also in 2019. But after about two weeks of detention, the court released them on bail, placing them under the supervision of Court. Nil Nonn, Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and Trial Judge, yesterday read out the verdict in the courtroom in the presence of his lawyer. Sam Sokong, the plaintiff's lawyer, Teav Vannul, did not comment further on the decision, saying only outside the room.
