In a meeting with civil servants and technical teams on the construction of the city's road infrastructure in Sihanoukville on the afternoon of June 1, 2020, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said that Sihanoukville will be the first smart city to use lights. Intelligence.

Recently, Samdech Techo Hun Sen also advised all concerned to bring more than 5,000 light bulbs to Sihanoukville for people to travel.

"And I think all over the country will be using this kind of light bulb to light up the road. Smart is that when there are cars and travelers on the road, the bulb will light up. But when there are no cars and no commuters, the lights will dim. ”

Samdech Techo said that street lamps every day make billions of dollars each year for street use in Cambodia. He said that using smart lights would benefit too.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said that the roads in Sihanoukville also attract national and international tourists to Sihanoukville, thus boosting the national economy. While the construction of 34 towers in Sihanoukville is 90% complete and the release of the national budget is approximately $ 300 million.
