Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo says the United States is preparing for any event in North Korea as it monitors the regime amid unreported reports of leader Kim Jong Un's health.

Speaking on a radio show, "Scott Santos," Pompeo revealed that it was unusual, but he never thought that the North Korean leader had not appeared in public for more than two weeks.

Kim Jong Un was last seen chairing the ruling Workers' Party political party on April 11.

"But more than that, I don't have much I can share with you today. We are watching closely, we are working to make sure we are prepared for what's going to happen," Pompeo said. ”
