Japan will take immediate action against the spread of the new coronavirus strain, worth 15.3 billion yen ($ 140 million), according to the Yonhap News Agency.

The amount includes 10.3 billion yen from the state budget, in which Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said the cabinet would approve its use on Friday.

While mass supply is scarce across the country, Abe also said the government aims to secure more than 600 million a month by encouraging companies to boost production.
