TOKYO – Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and US President Donald Trump began a phone conversation Friday morning about the spread of the new coronavirus, a government official said.
The two top leaders are expected to confirm cooperation in the fight against the pandemic virus, which was first discovered in central China's Wuhan late last year. .
The phone conversation came hours after Mr Trump proposed delaying the Tokyo Olympics for one year due to the coronavirus, saying that the change would be better than watching. See "uninhabited stadiums everywhere."
